Life, lessons, lemons, and lemonade transmuted into [musical] AlchemY.
Tone:
Elemental. Defiant. Immersive thought & natural soundscapes.

AlchemY is sonic transmutation. Seven songs form a chain reaction of transformation where—if you listen closely—the project smolders, floods, unearths, and erupts. This record was made to transmute silence into sound, pain into pigment, & art/community into fuel. It’s a bonfire in the dark daring artists to create in defiance, sculpting gold out of lived experience.
[LISTEN] to “Burns & Burnouts” by JustisThePoet *here*
*The ‘spark’ that lit the Rocket.
Flames across asphalt —
This spark lit something great… *

Each track on “AlchemY” is an audible force of nature; an elemental beacon of resistance helping mold the “light” first sparked in “Burns & Burnouts” into something entirely new by the record’s end.
The light doesn’t go out—it evolves. Across the record, light is metaphor, character, and currency. Where the light doesn’t reach, art does.
For Justis, this album was medicinal and created over months in recovery from a health scare that forced stillness and invited introspection. In that silence came a poetic “Big Bang” of sorts. The spark that helped Justis become JustisThePoet, “AlchemY” is the cycle of elemental defiance.

“Burns & Burnouts” – Fire
A spark becomes ignition. “I burn fast, but don’t burn out…I’m a hellcat doing burnouts…” If the album is a Big Bang, this is the explosion.
“SAD (Sex, Art, & Drugs)” – Air
A smooth but blistering op-ed critique that fills space like cigar smoke, questioning what happens when the things that should save us are overprescribed like antidepressants—and the “happily-ever-after” of antidepressants like Sex, Art, & Drugs wears off.
“Maps” – Water
Maps is the ebb, flow, & flood journey of discovery, where elemental forces chart their courses. “Maps vs Paths”, the ‘flow state’ is realized in audible form here. Memories submerge, identities tread, and sound waves give progress new meaning.
“Canvas (Reprise)” – Earth
Where what flows, becomes solid and takes form. This track is a grounding one—both muse and soil. If “Maps” seeks, “Canvas” builds, coloring, shading, and painting the path forward.
“House of Cards” – Fusion (Nuclear)
The epicenter of defiance. Born of grief, resistance, and protest. It’s a blueprint for implosion and reconstruction.
“Tsunami” – (Bonus Water)
A second flood. Momentum becomes waves, cresting and building before racing back to shore.
“AlchemY” – Fission (Nuclear)
The end of the album’s namesake track completes the cycle, just in time to begin it too. Like a flood or cloud, “AlchemY” washes over the album with a symphony of deconstruction, examining, rebuilding and restructuring the world around it, drawing together themes and points from the album in a beautifully poetic metamorphosis.
